So, that money’s burning a hole in your pocket? Well, I can help.

Let’s get right to the nub. This is a pitch for funds for a worthy cause.  Here’s the link, just specify “Clive Welsh & radio tower” in the subject line: Lighthouse Radio Donations

Now that the obvious is out of the way, here’s the back story.  I met Clive this past February when I went to Belize on a mission trip with the fine people from KTIS radio, our local Christian radio powerhouse. Clive met us at the airport with a case of cold water and a bus that the Partridge Family rejected as unsafe when it first aired. (It wasn’t that bad, but it was not one of the beasts that I see making the run to the local casino every two hours.)

Every where we went in Belize, Clive was there. He is the most well connected guy in Belize. And he’s doing it all to bring people to Christ. I admire and love the man. He’s got a heart as big as he is tall. and Clive is no peanut.

Clive is lit by the Heavens even at night.

So, he covered us with contacts, drove us all over the country, made sure we were fed and watered, introduced us to people we could help and was a great friend. My only complaint about Clive is that he’s going to continue to post pictures on Facebook of the rainforest and beaches all next winter while I’m freezing.

Clive runs a Christian radio station in Belize, Lighthouse Radio, 101.3 FM. The link goes to the website for the station. Like most of these small stations in the Third World, it’s run on a shoestring. But since it’s God’s shoestring, it’s strong.  Recently Lighthouse went off the air. Their cabling to the antennae had a leak and were soaked. In a climate like San Pedro Island in the Gulf of Mexico, that’s a risk you take. So the hunt was on for the fix and they replaced the cable. That’s when they discovered the big stick in the air they use to broadcast the signal was so corroded from the marine climate that it had bit the big one as well.

They’re back on the air at the moment, borrowed antenna with a really small footprint. This station is a gift to the people of Belize. It gets God’s word out every day and night. Small, but a huge impact. The people of Belize hunger for that word and Clive’s providing it.

So, I’m asking you to click on the link provide here (Yes, this link>)      Link to Clive’s donations site and flip what you can into the hat on the table. It’s a legit charity, 501 c3, and you will be able to take it as a donation for taxes.

Thank you in advance. Clive refused to split the take with me, so he must be legit. I love the guy, please pray for him and if you can donate, please do so and let him know you came from this site.
