It is often said that “Good guys finish last.”  I’m not buying it, never have. And since you’re reading this I’m guessing you share that sentiment.

Here’s your chance to do something about it. I have a friend (yes, one my mother didn’t pay off to hang around and be nice to me) who is a Pastor, an author, and a good guy.  He’s entered in a contest for writers and needs people to vote for him so that he can split the prize with me (whatever the prize is, I’m expecting a cut of it for putting this out there.)

Please follow this link http://www.familyfiction.com/short-stories/create-romance-2012/a-gift-from-the-stars/

and read his story. Then vote him to the top of the list. Feel free to shamelessly plug this on Facebook or other social media.

Larry, you have my address and Paypal account info, just send the money when you get it.

Oh, his regular blog is over on the blogroll panel, but you can visit the site and see who this “Larry” guy is at http://www.larrywtimm.com.

One detail… you have to verify your email address and once that’s confirmed go back to the page, log in and the “thumbs up” button is at the bottom of the article.

  1. Hey Joe,
Thanks for the completely unsolicited and shameless call for your friends to read and vote for my story. And I appreciate the unfunded plug for my blog too. You sure know how to make a guy feel blessed to be your friend! I’m looking forward to telling people about your blog too, and I might even mention that you were a GENESIS semi-finalist this year. Blessings to you dear brother.

    • By the way, if I win the contest I WAS planning on giving the money to charity….but if you feel like you need it….(my wife told me to add this part)…ha ha

[Ed. Yes, I do need it – to be donated to charity!]
