Just another manic Monday. (Sorry, Bangles)

Last week was pretty intense. Monday finished book. Tuesday sent book off to prospective agent.  Tuesday evening began prequel to the book I just finished. Wednesday got call that an entry I had in the ACFW Genesis Contest for another book had made it to the Semi Final level. Friday email from prospective agent with encouraging words. Saturday signed up for ACFW conference in Dallas, Tx.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday had a Migraine.

Saturday went to see Casting Crowns, Matthew West, Royal Tailor, Lindsay McCall and had a wonderful time reuniting with friends who had been on our mission trip and who work at KTIS radio.

Sunday attended another wonderful (I think, mainly I just remember the migraine) service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Had a nice lunch afterward at Key’s Cafe in Woodbury and then strolled around the LifeWay store nextdoor. I was picking out rack space for when I’m a published author. I figure I’ll be next to Brandilyn Collins. I’ve met her and like her. Nice place to be on the shelves unless someone with a com-cot last name comes between us. (Wishful thinking picking rack space, but I’m an optimist and this all feels very right and blessed as of last week.)

Today?  Replaced leaking shower temperature control unit/valve without major mishap. Started Spring cleaning of house. Will write tonight and then go to work.

Tomorrow?  God will make that all work out. For right now I’m going to go sit on the couch with my beloved wife and have some quality time.

Lest I forget, I really appreciate all of you who drop by here to take a minute. The readership has gone up 1000 fold in the last 8 months. From me to about 1000 people a week. Either a lot of you have not much to do, or I’m blessed with some loyal people who enjoy the bon-mots from time to time.

Oh, one final thing: go buy a copy of John Otte’s novel, FAILSTATE. Truly enjoyable. John says it’s for young adults. It is for anyone who likes science fiction and has ever been a young adult. I pray it does well, he deserves the success with this book. It was a great read.
