First, to my subscribers: I apologize for using this blog as a political platform. I hope that you will continue to come here for my normal (non-political) essays and thoughts after the election. This has been difficult for me as well, as this blog was not designed to be political. But the simple fact is that honor comes before revenue. If I didn’t do this I couldn’t write what I do and mean it in my blog and in my books. It is who I am.
I feel vindicated at this point with the flood gates now opening on Benghazi. This will not go away. If I am ultimately proven wrong on my opinions I will publicly acknowledge it and apologize.

Now for the questions.
How long have I been out of the military?
Just over 23 years.
Isn’t this just your opinion?
Yes, just my opinion. At this point I have had positive feedback from a great number of people who were in the military and some not long out of the military. They all agree that my points are valid. Most of them are experienced intelligence collectors on the tactical level – where stuff like this was my bread and butter. The one exception is an old friend who was CIA for many years who thinks I’m full of crap and shouldn’t say anything until the investigation is done. Three words tell you why I won’t wait: fast and furious.
Aren’t you just grinding an axe?
Nope. I wouldn’t stake my reputation and honor on that kind of thing. I’ve scrupulously avoided that on this site until this week.
You weren’t there, how could you know this stuff?
The basics don’t change, just the technology. And lies have been around since the serpent. Give the administration an apple for their effort.
Aren’t you just some cranky old wannabe with a Vince Flynn complex?
Man, I wish I wrote as well as Vince Flynn. I am old. I am cranky. But I’m not a “be” I’m a has been. And you can take that however you like but I’ve got the shirt, I’ve got the plaque, I’ve got the experience. Most if not all of the people posting that this is some right-wing Faux News story to discredit the White House haven’t been within twenty miles of a military base much less inside a submarine, an aircraft carrier, a cruiser, a CH-53, a zodiac full of SEALS, a C130 or a HUMVEE. So, give the appropriate amount of weight to their statements versus mine.
Finally – Do you plan on writing more on politics?
Not at this point. I’ve got stories to tell and a God to worship. Neither are political in nature and I’m going back to them on November 7th.
