Yes, Virginia, there is an adopted dog. Our new housemate is named Stormy Blue. She will be joining us on Saturday. While we will never replace Maisie (my eyes tear just typing that) she will have a new place in our hearts. Stormy is a 7 year old girl who’s been adopted before but through no fault of her own she lost her home. Now she’s coming to live with us. She’s soft, gentle, and very sad and scared. I have so much love, as does my wife, that she’ll never want for that again. And our old man, Edzell, will be a wonderful companion and snuggle mate.

There are no coincidences. I saw the cartoon above and got all misty. Santa and I look way too much alike for that to be a fluke.
