Yes, indeed, it’s that time of year when you must endure the updates about Santa Joe. I am going to only post really good stories and new public appearances here, not every little candy cane that I gobble. I promise. I know it’s tedious to read it from other Santas and I won’t inflict that on you.
But there’s big news! A new tradition is starting in the Twin Cities and I’m proud to be a part of it in its inaugural year: Go Green Saturday
.I’ll be starting the day at Bonnie’s Cafe
at Noon and visiting with young and old until Two in the afternoon.I’ll then scoot down to see my friends at the Best Steak House from Three until Five.
They’re having a special deal and I talked with Mike (one of the owners) about it tonight. To say he’s genuinely excited about a new tradition starting this weekend is an understatement. The deal is a cheeseburger, fries, hot cocoa and pumpkin pie for just $4.99. I don’t usually directly promote business interests here (full disclosure: I did their website for years and know the family well) but these are great people (Bonnie’s as well, I’ve eaten there for many years.) Small businesses that have struggled mightily during the light rail construction and come out the other side. Please stop by and have your picture taken with me this Saturday. And last, but not least by any means, I’ve been included in Kimberly Brown’s annual Christmas show. Kimberly is a very talented performer who’s been showcased around the world with great acclaim. We’ve been trying to coordinate Santa’s inclusion in the show for 3 years and finally made it happen. There will be two shows, one at 2:30 and the second at 6:30. Go to her website for details and tickets. Thank you, Kimberly, for including me in your show.
